The Madeira Ocean Challenge organising committee highlights the importance of protecting the environment and implements sustainable measures to help preserve it:

1. Participants will be provided with free collective transport to the starting points. People accompanying them/individuals who are not registered may use this service upon purchase of a ticket;

2. Water stations will be available at the event headquarters, at the Centro Náutico de São Lázaro, for refilling water bottles free of charge;

3. Recycling points will be available both at the Centro Náutico de São Lázaro and at the starting points of the competitions.
